An Email to someone who said “#iPad is nothing new but a much bigger ipod touch”
I intended not to disagree with you most of the time, but this time, I disagree.
Trust me, it’s gonna take off. There are a few areas specifically will makes this so.
- Media companies like NY Times and other news giants with love the device to death
- iBook, the new app for Ebooks plus the deals they made with HarperCollins and other 4 major publishers is gonna make iPad 100 times better than Kindle, which has been a success for Amazon
- the new oppors for iPad apps. The bigger screen is gonna take app and gamer experience to the whole new level, the app sales gonna go through the roof
- iWork (the office for mac) will take users away from MS or Google potentially. Don’t get me wrong, they are not giving the software for free, so they can make money. And this is targeting individual users
- Enterprise apps. With this device, we are going to see much more apps and services in enterprise, which where most money gonna come from.
- Healthcare industry. Do I need to say more about this?
Man, this is gonna change future. And there are two things you can do to be party of it.
- Get some AAPL share
- Start learning app dev for iPhone/iPad
