@ruddrury gave great advice for people who want to get started (21 minute mark).
“You always hear about the story of a guy got luck really early and quite young, but much more repeatable is doing things in a series of steps. This is my 4th company, each one got bigger and bigger and bigger, but you gaining more experience and gaining more network. I think it’s really important to get started is to get started. It doesn’t matter what the deal is with the angel investor. Give them 40%, get the money to get started, get them great return. Then it give you the right to earn a bit of more in the next one and better deal. So get started at a series of baby steps, and the jouney is the fun. once you have younger kids at home, it’s much easier being at work. Building a great team, building a sustainable career and enjoy doing what you are doing is pretty cool and you do have time to do it.”
